My Florida Family Vacation 2014

This past week My Momma Taught Me went on a Family Vacation! My family and I went down to Florida. This is the first time visit for our second daughter that is now 3 years old. The last time we went to Florida it was about 4 years ago when I was pregnant for our second daughter. We drove down with our in laws that time and even stayed in the same house we always do (my family stays in). It’s a long drive, but it’s worth it! We enjoy staying in our vacation home we rent for the week.

The weather was not as nice as we would have liked. The first day was really warm and in the 80’s. The second day we were there it rained all day and the weather channel advised no unnecessary travel. We watched movies all day. The next few days were chilly due to the storm that came through. When I say chilly, it was about 60 or so. That’s a lot warmer than NY weather! My mother sent us a picture of the snow. Friday and Saturday were much warmer and near 70’s.

We enjoy doing small things on our Florida Vacations. We do not go to Disney or any of those big parks. We do visit the zoo, parks, beaches, boardwalks, and aquariums. The kids favorite thing to do had to be swim in the in ground heated pool at our vacation home. Of course! 🙂

Overall we had a nice family vacation. This was the fist time being away for the Holiday, but we made sure to get together with family before we left so it was not as tough being away.
