First Day of School 2016

Well today is the day my girls started school. May of you may have already sent your kiddos to school, or maybe today as well! My oldest is being homeschooled this year for third grade. My youngest is starting kindergarten.

I’ve been a stay at home mom since my oldest was born. Eight years of being with my kids basically 24/7. It is always hard for me to let them go out and be with out them no matter where it may be. Even harder sending them to a school filled with people I barely know. I mainly want to sit and cry all day, but I’m pretty strong and somehow can manage to not shed a tear and put on big smiles for my kids.

My youngest seems the complete opposite of my oldest. She had no fear going to school and cannot wait for tomorrow when she will be there all day (boo hoo hoo for me). I just hope that she stays this way. As I recall my oldest started off great in the beginning too, but soon turned into having a lot of separation anxiety and help onto that up until last year when I had to pull her out of school for the anxiety. I pray that my youngest does not go down that same path.
