House Party is a great site to get exclusive product for hosting a party. It is like a lottery to even get the opportunity to host, but it is so much fun to do. In the past month, I have been selected to do two parties, Game of Thrones/chromecast and The Power Puff girls. To give you an idea how this works, here is the general steps…
- First you apply for a party. Each party will have a list of activities that allow you to “Stand out.” I recommend doing all of them if possible.
- Now you wait. This is the time that will determine if you have a chance or not. If chosen, you move on to the create your party step
- The create your party step is timed. You get an email telling you that you have been selected and are “in the running.” You have a specified amount of time to log in, create the location and information about the party, then add emails (usually 10). This is a race pretty much. Once the slots are filled, thats it. Sometimes you know right away, sometimes you dont.
- Now, you would be either denied or selected as a host. If your a host, you get to do more activities. Doing these make you stand out for future parties. The more you complete, the better chances.
- You get a kit in the mail to host the party. For example: for Power puff girls, I got the Dvd of the premiere episode before it aired. Then party supplies-banner, masks, cookie cutters in the shape of the girls’ heads. For Game of Thrones/chromecast I got a GOT journal and a chromecast stick. Each party will differ.
By far the coolest thing I have done. You get the chance at cool items and also some that are not even public yet. So go, have some fun at House Party.
