Free Fishing Days in New York 2019

There will be a free fishing day in recognition of the National Hunting and Fishing Day, which is on September 28, 2019. New York residents can fish without a license in any of the state’s 7,500 lakes and ponds, or 70,000 miles of rivers and streams during the day.
During Free Fishing Days/ or Weekends, anyone can fish the fresh waters of New York State and no fishing license is required. All other freshwater fishing regulations still apply.
