Free Gaming Portal that is Child-Friendly
With all the pay to play game sites out there, it is always nice to find a free online gaming portal aimed at kids. With my 2 girls, it is always a challenge because they get bored with games very quickly and want to move on to a new one, so downloading games always seems so wasteful. It would be nice to have an online gaming portal where my children can move from game to game without having to wait for them to download and install.
Here enters Poki.com. Poki.com actually has thousands of games available, but their most popular are displayed on their homepage. There seems to be games for every interest from racing to fighting, sports to MMO’s, even ones including popular Disney characters such as those from Frozen. I would recommend checking out some of the fighting games before allowing your children to play, as some may not be suitable for all children.
There newest game is a winter themed dress-up game, it is a fairly simple game with not too much involved, but it still seems to keep the kids attention and they have fun. You can check out the game below
One may wonder how can a site offer these games for free when they have to pay developers to program the games? Welcome ads. Ads are pretty much on every website and Poki.com is no exception to this. Displaying these ads allow them to offer these games for free. The ads are not overwhelming and even the ads that display before some games are played, are usually only about 15 seconds long, and those 15 seconds seem well worth it considering the games are free. Every ad I saw was suitable for children, so it appears they took that into consideration.
