I think we can all agree that Java can be a big ol pain from time to time when it comes to printing our coupons out, right?! Well I thought I would do a nice post with a step by step way that my Husband helped me with java. I also have told others in the past of this and it helped them as well. So I hope that it will be helpful for the rest of you as well! 🙂

step 1 java

STEP 1:

You are going to want to go down to your Start Button and select CONTROL PANEL. That will bring a new window up.

step 2 java

STEP 2:

You are going to select the UNINSTALL A PROGRAM link under the Programs Category.

step 3 java

STEP 3:

You will need to go through all the downloaded programs till you find the Java 7 (or under) Update. You are going to want uninstall that. Once it is done uninstalling you will need to bring a window up to reinstall Java.

step 4 java

STEP 4:

Go to http://java.com/en/download/ and you will then need to install the latest Java. After you download java it will ask you to verify that java was installed, so make sure you do that. Once that is done you should be all set to print coupons.

step 5 java

STEP 5:

Be sure to check and see if any pop ups or an icon flashed up at the top of your browser. If there is one you will need to click on it and then choose “ALLOW” in order for your coupons to print. Usually I have to click this every time as soon as I click print, or it will not. Of course today it went and printed with out me doing it….when I wanted it to so I could snap a pic of the icon 😉 lol

Well I really hope this helps you be able to print from Java. It has worked for me and others, so Let me know how you make out!

Hmm are you making sure there is not a small icon that pops up near your web address? It is easy to miss. If you do not click that to have your computer to allow java, it won’t print. For a long time I kept missing that, and finally figured out I have to do that almost 9 times out of 10 in order for my coupons to print.

Thanks for the tips, Kristy. Here is what happens when I try to print Red Plum coupons: I “Allow” Java, “Run” the Red Plum coupon printer, and then… NOTHING HAPPENS! It never even makes it to my printer queue.
I contacted Red Plum directly, but they gave no help.
I’ve uninstalled and re-installed Java, made sure no program was blocking it, and tried using three browsers. Really stinks to miss out on all the RP printables, especially because I don’t receive the newspaper!
