When I first opened the bottle of Purex® PowerShot™ when I got it in the mail the detergent came out the top. I was worried that this was going to happen each time I opened the top of the bottle. Thankfully, this was not the case. I figured because the bottle was on the side in the package before I opened it, so that was why it spilled out the top. Each time I have used this detergent since I have not had any issues. I found that it is super easy to use! Really all there is to it is tipping it over and then back to pop top off and pour. That’s it! I’m in love with this concept and so happy that I was able to try this. I personally hate measuring the detergent using the top of the cap. So I usually just dump some in my washer (I know, I know…LOL). How cool is it to just flip and pour?! I LOVE it!
Here is How it Works:
All you have to do is flip the bottle with lid closed to ensure a full first dose. Bottle should be completely upside down to fill the Purex® PowerShot™ compartment inside. Then you turn the bottle back upright.
- OPEN the lid while pointing away from face.
- FLIP bottle completely upside down to pour Purex® PowerShot™ directly into the washing machine or dispensing tray. One super-concentrated Purex® PowerShot™ equals one regular load.
- The Purex® PowerShot™ compartment automatically REFILLS, so it’s ready for the next load.

Oh I love it! The auto dosing would be less messy for me! I always seem to make a mess of the laundry soap putting the cap back on. What a great idea!

I think the measuring, no spill system is great. No more guessing or messes.
I think that Purex Power Shot is a great concept. Of course I tend to use more detergent than I really need to so I waste money. With this new Purex I wouldn’t be able to over pour anymore.
The idea itself is great… however I have soft water and have to use “less” than recommended detergent… so for me, I might have to adjust amount… after I try a few loads of course!
I like the fact that it measures the detergent for you.
I absolutely love Purex but like you hate the mess the liquid makes on the bottle and then on my dryer where it sits. This looks awesome!!!

Wow awesome concept!! I hope maybe one day they just sell the lids for the bottles I already have. Or are they removable to switch to an old bottle? I hate measuring it out I feel like I waste more than I need to. Thanks for sharing!!
