Easy Way to Create Your Frugal Own Invitations

Money can add up quick when we are talking kids birthday parties. One item that you don’t have to add to the pile of extra costs could be invitations. For a few years now I finally realized I can make my own invitations. Generally, I would from scratch but sometimes we just don’t have time for all of that. What I have been doing for the past few years is creating my own invites using an online art program.

To me there’s just something about letter and getting mail (other then bills). I still send out Christmas Cards, Thank You Cards and invitations as well. So it can add up quick when you have more then a couple to send. So what I do is use regular old printer paper. You could always glue them onto card stock paper or print on thicker paper, but to me it was unnecessary.

I use a program like PicMonkey where it allows me to add images, clip art and font to create my own designs. No need to spend extra money on customized invites when you can easily make them yourself! There are bunch of programs out there you can use. My personal favorite just happens to be PicMonkey. I find it super user friendly. After creating your desired look you can print your invitations at home or upload them and get 4×6 pictures done up and mail those (I’ve done that before too). You can always find great low prices on prints compared to the actual invitations they offer.
