Geneva BJ’s Wholesale Club Closing February 1, 2020

You guys… I’m so sad. ANOTHER store that I shop at is closing it’s doors soon. Not that long ago I lost my favorite grocery store, Tops Markets. Now I read that they are going to be closing my local BJ’s Wholesale Club as well in the same town. I’m super bummed. It appears my store won’t be the only one closing either. Here are some others on the list according to Spectrum News.

I have called corporate and spoke to them about this. They confirmed they are indeed closing the Geneva, New York location as well as the Charlotte, NC location. The estimated date for closing is February 1st, 2020. The person I talked to said it may be likely that they are relocating this store to another location that in hopes to have more consumers. If they do intend on relocating, we have no idea where…but it could be with in a 25 mile radius if they do. We did try to speak to this store, but they were not friendly and refused to give out any information.

The nearest locations to shop at BJ’s if you are local to Geneva would be Ithaca, Auburn or Victor.

Total bummer for those of us who love shopping there.
