Net10 Wireless Smartphone Only $1.99 (reg $49) at Tops Markets

Tops Shoppers we have a nice deal for you on these Net10 Wireless Cell Phones. They have them advertised as a smartphone for only $1.99!!! There is a limit on these of two per customer and no rainchecks will be given.

Key Factors about this phone:

• Android 2.3 came out in 2010
• No longer supported with updates (meaning many apps won’t be able to be downloaded)
• Only 3G and WiFi no 4G capable
• No-contract, unlimited talk, text, data
• Cheapest monthly plan is $35 with no data
• The $40 plan includes 3G unlimited data (we suggest not purchasing any larger plan as phone is too old to support)
• 3.5″ touchscreen display
• 3 MP camera / video recorder

In order to get these you must more then likely go to your stores customer service center as they will probably be behind the desk like at my store.

So overall this is an old phone, with an old operating system that’s no longer supported or updated. Its listed as originally $49.99, so it’s only $1.99 making it a huge discount! You can’t just add minutes to this phone you have to purchase a monthly plan to have service on it (cheapest is $40). You cannot add this phone to any other provider besides one listed, net10. Our bet is that even playing games would be tough on this phone, but for $1.99 it may be worth a try for you! UPDATE: I’ve read the reviews on both phones with many complaints about not being able to download games, very slow connection speed, and lack of storage. So if you want this for kids to play games I wouldn’t suggest it (but totally worth the try for the cost since you can connect to any wifi using this with out a plan!). If you want to get it to use to print coupons my guess is that it won’t work very well.

You can connect to WiFi and use, but again slow and better issues.

I’m on the hunt for another phone that retails $99 too! I’ll update the specifics on this if I can find one. This one looks like the better of the two and more updated then the other. My store only had the one variety so I wanna find this one now! Thanks Christine for sharing!
