What Happens When You Try To Cancel BarkBox Subscription?

We recently got new puppies and I knew I wanted to try some subscriptions boxes. I use them for ourselves like honest and grove so why not for our pups too… I researched a lot and didn’t want to try it due to some tiny reasons, but I decided to give the most popular ranked box a try. We signed up when there was a promotion for a $10 Barkbox. Upon doing this you had to sign up for a 6 month subscription. Silly me for not reading all the terms before signing up. So I’m sharing this with you so you don’t have the same problem.

Apparently, once you sign up for anything more then the one month box you are locked in. Once you are they WILL NOT let you cancel. Well I should say you can cancel so after your 6 months is up you won’t get charged or have anymore boxes sent. But in the meantime you HAVE TO keep paying for the boxes you don’t want.

I don’t know about you guys, but that totally rubs me the wrong way. For a subscription box that offers easy cancellation and supposedly best customer service we had a horrible experience. Not only did we not like the first two boxes we got at all, but they would not allow us to cancel the rest of our subscription. I find that totally unfair and top be horrible customer service.

Don’t get fooled like I did by a fancy promotion to try their items and get locked in on the off chance you may not like this box. I would suggest trying only a one month subscription. That way you can try it and have no obligation to keep paying for something you don’t want. They even offered to donate our boxes to a shelter…I’m sorry but if I’m paying for (what I believe to be overpriced items) I’m going to at least use them. But, hey, maybe that’s just me I don’t know.

I’m not sure if I will be promoting them anymore after this post… I know many others like them, but I just don’t know if I can promote something I can’t stand behind…

    My dog had a severe allergic reaction and almost died. All they do is try is try send me new toys, no apology, nothing. I told them I will not take a chance on my dogs health and I do not want anything else. Yet again, 3rd email now wants me to upgrade to super chewer. They are a horrible company. Do not stand behind them.
